Leads

There are a few types of leads you can use when writing a news story. Here are the types:
Types of leads:
Emphasis – “Vince Li not criminally responsible.”
Blanket/Umbrella – “He got away with murder, and the victim's family wants to change that."
Verbless – “Li not responsible.”
Chronological/Narrative – “It was a normal and quiet bus ride in July; they had almost reached their destination, before someone on the bus murdered the man next to him.”
Questions – “Was Vince Li responsible?”
